Lunawood employs 125 professionals in Finland at production plants in Iisalmi, Kaskinen and Joensuu as well as the Lahti head office and main export markets. The company’s annual production capacity is 150,000 m3 and majority of the company’s production is exported. In 2020 Lunawood’s turnover was EUR 56 million.

Our mills in Finland transform the very best Nordic Pine and Spruce into beautiful and long-lasting Lunawood Thermowood®. The patented production process is based on the gradual thermal modification of the wood, wherein the chemical and physical properties undergo a permanent change. Thermal treatment means that the process itself uses only water vapor and heat; no chemicals are being used.

Lunawood Thermowood is dimensionally stable, resistant to decay and resin free. It can be used inside or outdoors, in any climate. Non-toxic Lunawood is a sustainable and durable choice for facades, solar shades and other exterior applications as well as for interiors.
