Wright Forest Products Pty Ltd continues a tradition of family involvement in the Australian and International timber trade dating from 1853. The Company is part of J. Wright & Sons Pty Ltd, a name synonymous with the Australian timber industry with investments in domestic forest production, timber importing and processing. Wright Forest Products market and distribute certified Nordic softwoods throughout Australasia on behalf of a limited number of specialized manufacturers and processors based in the Baltic’s and central Europe. Our particular emphasis is on production from Finland and Estonia.
What we offer
Our partners are both large and medium sized manufacturers. Manufacturing capabilities include sawn and further processed goods of high end quality to exacting European standards We also manufacture specific products under our own Permapine brand from certified Nordic softwoods to specific Australian requirements.
We import, market, warehouse and distribute Australia wide to specialist timber resellers (Stockists) and manufacturers (joineries and mouldings). We also provide technical advice to individual clients including developers, builders, architects and end users. The business operates from family owned premises at 375 Wests Road, Werribee in Victoria, Australia. The 3 ha site is located off the Princes Freeway between Geelong and Melbourne providing efficient access to the Port of Melbourne and to the Melbourne’s western freight hub offering efficient low cost transport for goods throughout Australia and the region.

Rather than just offering dubious “green” credentials, Wrights core values are based on products that are from renewable resources, recyclable for the full life cycle of the product. Low emission processing, CO2 sink raw material and non-toxic products offer a real alternative to high emission steel, aluminium and plastics. Other family entities invest in forest growing in the State of Victoria.

Wrights are undertaking certification with Australian Forestry Standard “AFS” which is endorsed by the international Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification “PEFC”. As founding members of the Australian Timber Importers Federation “ATIF” we abide by their Code of Conduct. Our procurement policy is endorsed by “ATIF”.

Wright Forest Products, it’s principals and agents, recognize the chain of custody certification system, and the independent qualification of lawfully managed forests as the most effective tools in the procurement of timber from sound and verifiable origins.
